Dick Mast is a PGA TOUR and Champions Tour veteran and a life member of the PGA of America. He serves as Director of Instruction and Golf Professional Emeritus at Poplar Grove Golf Club in beautiful Amherst County, Virginia.
As Central Virginia’s only touring pro, he has over 45 years experience of competing with and learning from some of world’s finest golfers, including Lee Trevino, Gary Player, Greg Norman, Tiger Woods, Bernhard Langer, Tom Lehman, and Tom Watson, just to name a few.
After turning pro in 1972, Mast has competed on the Nike Tour, Nationwide Tour, PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and the European Senior Tour. He has accumulated more than 650 starts in his professional career, including four Nationwide Tour wins and 46 top-ten finishes. Since earning status on the Champions Tour in 2001, Mast has collected 52 Top-25 and 16 Top-Ten results. He also holds the four-round world record of 32 under par during a PGA-sanctioned tour school at Palm Air Country Club in Sarasota, Florida.
Mast has learned the secrets of the pros — from swing biomechanics and technical performance to course strategies and mental preparation. He is passionate about teaching and helping dedicated golfers at any level of play. Mast specializes in private coaching, clinics and playing lessons for aspiring players, corporate outings, employee incentive programs and fundraisers.
